Initial Consultation

We visit you at home to discuss the project, your budget and timescale and we will offer helpful ideas and the best use of your current furnishings and fittings, if appropriate.
We can produce mood and colour boards to inspire you with ideas. Or you may simply want an estimate and some samples.

Our comprehensive design library includes fabrics, wallpapers, furniture, lighting and accessories. A vital part of our job is to navigate the maze of goods available and find the most appropriate for you. Click here to see a list of our suppliers.

In order to perfect your final choices, another two or three meetings may then be necessary. These can be held either at our studio or on site.

Design & Production

At JH Designs all our curtains, pelmets, blinds, loose-covers, cushions, bedcovers and just about everything else are hand-made by us in our own workshop.

We also supply and fit curtain tracks and poles, roller and wood blinds and lambrequins.

Whether your sofas, chairs and headboards are to be re-upholstered or supplied new, we will advise the best route and then oversee the work for you.

We can design and supply freestanding or built-in furniture custom-made by trusted local craftsmen.

If you need a new kitchen (or would like to give the existing one a facelift), we have lots of experience and will combine practicality with a unique design.

We provide carpets and rugs, off the peg or bespoke, and can either work with your fitter or arrange our own.

Finishing Touches

Everything we supply will be personally fitted and positioned by us.

We offer a finding service for antique and vintage furniture, art and accessories to finish the scheme to perfection.

We also supply garden furniture which we think is equally important in linking the interior with outdoor spaces.
